How can this be legal? That they would take peoples money and then start up again? Seems ridiculous.

Legal Action? Certainly people who were clueless enough to go with this company would at least have the brains to pursue some sort of action?

You would think... but they did sign contracts so there is probably some kind of legal loop-hole that will let the company get away with it. All we can do it try to get people to not sign-up with them again.

I have stores in NW Indiana near Chicago. I was scammed! After refunding my customers and exchanging Rockitalk phones for other Carrier phones. I am out of about $5000.00 for just selling it for 2 weeks. I know there were more dealers in the Chicago area that lost WAY more than me, not just money but reputation to our customers that made us LOOK very BAD! If there are other dealers that wanna FIGHT before other dealers and customers get scammed! Contact me! I am not afraid of these scammers! I am already looking with my attorney in how to take legal action againt them from scamming customers again! I never been so embarresed to tell my customers I DID NOT scamm them. If any one knows the master dealer info and the company that owns ROCKITALK...

Cingular and Verizon have not "let anything happen". LLC simply used the two carriers spectrum, just as T-Mobile uses cingulars spectrum. Its like renting out a condo to someone only to have them commit a crime while staying there.

I understand, about the "Cingular & Verizon", but they should be more judgemental on who they let BUY from them or RENT

What gets me is the Carriers, "Cingular and Verizon" that will allow this to happen to customers and dealer that can cause some to GO OUT OF BUSINESS

The lure of easy money from a potentially profitable MVNO might have been too much for Verizon and Cingular. We'll see.

Well, maybe Cingular wouldn't allow it to happen again, and that's why it would have nothing to do with it. Maybe Verizon decided to pick it up...

There were no contracts ever for my customers to sign. No Brochures, just take money and run!

I knew all of it was to good to be true! I was done selling the service after 2 weeks, but 2 weeks later my customers still got scammed!

A far better question would be how Verizon could let a suspect company offer service over its network.

Legal? I wouldn't know, but it's certainly not ethical. Even though RockitTalk is simply "renting" spectrum, I hope Cingular (and potentially Verizon) takes action as the landlord to set things straight with their users.
