Depends, here in the mountains some phones can steadily hold 2-3 bars where some other phones struggle detrimentally.
My girlfriend works in an area that we use a partner tower due to lack of city councils intellegence to let Verizon build. She had the old grey Razr and the new silver. Both wouldn't work at all.
I carried the original Q (Silver and Black) both of which would hold 2 bars in town and would very rarely drop a call or not initiate one. Out in the "sticks" both Q's dropped down to nothing.
My Q's and the other phones I carried not only did the signal out perform her Razr's but the battery life, picture quality, even software beleive it or not surpassed hers.
Hence, why I am not to fond of the Razr's. Now if we were in an area that signal wasn't an issue, it might be a different story.
