I think they are gonna make it
My 19 year old daughter goes to ASU in Tempe and she just signed up last nite (albeit I'm payin for it). Apparently all of her friends are gonna be signing up as well... thats why she wanted it.
I was talkin to the customer service lady and she was sayin that the mobile 2 mobile will be changing once the customer base gets up a lil bit to the m2m that we know of. They picked the model they are using now because it didn't really make sense to offer it because there are gonna be few customers in the beginning but I was assured that it will going to the proper model once they have a decent customer base. She was also saying that they are in negotiations with VZW to offer them as part of their m2m.

Yeah. We've been in negotiations with Verizon M2M since 2002. I don't think that's going to happen.

Hmmm, I really don't get why so people want this phone so much. I personally have ordered the phone and once I got it I was soo dissapointed. The phone quality looks soo cheap contrary to the website. Personally if I wouldn't get this phone even if it was free. The looks on the website is so deceiving.

You would have to ask Elsa that. I had a Kyocera swivel for VZW and it was fine for me. I gave it up for an LG VX4500 because the speakerphone was too low for my tastes. Now I just use BT.
She just got it and its not cheap in my opinion. The one thing I will say is her service is better than mine. I'm not too terribly thrilled with VZW here in Scottsdale and I have a VX9800 (the V) and a Moto 815. Her QOS is much better than mine.
