Amp'd Mobile Soft-Launches
Hum.. no disrespect to the doomsayers, but..
So some peeps are interested, I guess.
Also consider that the competition in pre-pay ain't all that good. Virgin's the standout success there, an' only 'cus of marketing an' simplicity, really.. their rates are sure not all that. So measurin' Amp'd fo' a coffin on the first day of launch is pretty premature.
Site's very clean, very hip. The Jet phone seems very cool, tho' I do not trust Kyocera in general an' obviously they need to have a lot mo' phone choices available soon. The RAZR would seem to be a natural fit.. cool looks, an' has EVDO.
The lack of prepaid plans so far is suprisin'. Amp'd seems aimed dead straight at teens an' college students, so you'd think prepay was a given. Maybe it will have that later, but right now durin' the soft launch its all contract. An' 2 year contracts ta boot.
The $29.99 250 unl n/w plan does seem interestin' to me personally, tho'. I make most of my calls night an' weekends anyway, so I might be able to fit on that plan an' save some cheddah. $29.99...

Amp'd needs to flesh out its offerings (phones, plans) asap. If it does, I think good things are in store fo' them. If not.. oh well.
They'll flesh out their offerings as the market dictates. But I strongly agree with you that their target demographic is 18-24.

18-24 = lots of disconnects for non-payment. yes, there are a lot of younger people that are good with money, but don't kid yourself, most people that age are jumping from job to job, want all the cool toys and have no money for them all. not to mention are in college and can barely get by as it is. they'd rather have a kegger and a PS2 than pay a bill. 😉

I'm sure Amp'd hired analysts and researchers far more talented than you or I to discover their key demographic and what it's capable of.
Yes, look at the rip-roaring success that MTV and VH-1 are today...when was the last time that you watched Miscellaneous Terrible Viewing? 🙄 😛 🤣

Wow. If that made any less sense...
just an observation, not a slam against you "o' anythin'" 😉

what's with using an apostrophie to shorten 3 letter words? an', fo'? you have to type 3 characters anyways, so why not hit the correct letter and sound more intelligent?

He's been writing like this for quite a while Jinx. You're late to the show...I'm used to it by now.

It's coo. So long as Jinx ain' still listenin' to his Neil Sedaka vinyl an' wearin' floods, he ain' too far behind the times. 🙂
