Sorry, this only applies if you bought extra data. In other words, if you're on the 4 lines for $100 which includes 2.5GB per line per month, you can't rollover your data.

This means if you purchased it you can keep it for a year. This is good. Some months are light data months and other months I use the whole 6GB. Perhaps this mean I won't have to worry about throttling any longer.

Everyone wants something for nothing. I guess you're included. The Data Stash is for people who BUY additional data so they don't lose it.

Seriously, this. The mere fact that you have the OPTION of a free data plan is incredible. Remember when the carriers forced you to get a data plan with a smartphone? Back when AT&T and Verizon and everyone sold minute plans, you had to add on the data package to use the smartphone. Now you don't, and you still get some just included in your plan. I'm telling you, all T-Mobile needs to do is step up their coverage game and get a few more good phones, and they're set. People will whine and complain about some of their new policies not being perfect (in their eyes), but really, this is all groundbreaking stuff.

My main question is... if you lower your data plan, do you lose any stored data? Because I remember with AT&T's Rollover minutes b...

No you will not lose stashed data, only if you lower to 1GB, you will be able to continue to use what stash you have left, but will no longer stash new data.

Ex. Downgrading: You have 3GB data, and banked 2 months of 2GB each, for a total of 4GB, you move to a 1GB plan, you will still have 4GB to use, and will use that, but will not bank any portion of the 1GB you moved to.

Ex. Upgrading: You have 3GB and banked 2 months of 2GB each, for a total of 4GB, you move to a 5GB plan, you will still have the 4GB to use, and will use that AND any portion of the 5GB you moved to, will bank the next month.

Ex. Upgrading Unlimited: You have 3GB and banked 2 months of 2GB each, for a total of 4GB, you move to an Unlimited or promotional plan,...

You just restated what they said. I think it's too bad it doesn't apply to all data.

I spend $250/month at T-Mobile. I'm not looking for something for nothing.

You spend $250 a month for something that already gives you data (at no extra charge) that you agreed to before the data stash even existed. So you really are asking for more features for the same money. Go see how much more you'll be paying on a different carrier with the features you already have, they probably can match it. I think is a really nice feature, if you pay for extra data you can stash whatever is left over. BTW, I pay $300 a month for my 5 lines including EIP which I'm sure you are also paying, so the fact that you're spending $250 a month on your bill doesn't necessarily means its all on services.

What about texting, data, and calls in foreign countries.

What about music not counting towards data.

That was more features for the same money. I'm just saying that since 2.5GB is included per month, it would be nice if that rolled over as well.

I'm not saying that this isn't a good enhancement, I'm just saying it would be nice if it applied to more than just people who add on 2 more GB per month. That being said, I understand why they did it that way, to increase revenue.

with all the stuff they are giving us, they have to make more money somewhere, otherwise they'll disappear. I understand what you are saying, but come on, let them make some money so they can invest on infrastructure.

Hey, that's why I keep paying the $20 extra per month for unlimited data on my line. I use about 1GB a month since I'm on wifi all the time but I'm still paying for unlimited.

I guess you can now lower your data plan, and start accumulating while on wifi for that rainy day 😉

$235, 2 lines unlimited - I didnt get Rhapsody, I dont get Data Stash, I get nothing the last few rounds of uncarrier - I was also told I could get BOTH WiFi Router AND LTE Signal Booster, I am now told I can only get one, and I jumped through hoops to be told I could finally buy a router.

As for my tablet line - they matched 5GB of my Unlimited phone plan to my tablet - so I dont get Data Stash there either.

My final line, is a 3GB line for my roommate, who uses a total of 500-700MB per month. She doesnt really even need a data stash, cause she will never go through the 10GB they give her to start, meaning, T-Mobile is still taking her data away, still making $10 per month on her using less than 1GB anyway. Maybe we should change her...
