We've already seen the "power" of ev-do via the verizon experience. Verizon are now turning people off who use ev-do too much, which does not seem too difficult with all the conditions verizon puts on it.

People want data and Sprint is not going to stop them from getting it, that is why they are the leader in wireless data.

The issue here is the actual capacity that sprint has on the network. EV-DO is a step forward but it is still pretty inefficient in terms of using radio spectrum. Sprint only has so much of that.

They hope to release their TV next year as Sprint allows you to watch movies and TV shows like the new iPods do. I take it you have never seen Sprints "Live TV". I can sit and watch NFL network live on my a940. It kinda sux though because of the commercial. Maybe next they will have a DVR system where you can just fast-forward through them. I did not know VZX will cut people off if they use it to much cuz that suz.
EV-DO has limitations. Its that simple. Verizon is evidently more concerned about those than sprint and that might be because ...
