Is unicel part of cellularone?

Where does unicel fall into this buying? Are they a part of cellularone??

If I'm not mistaken, Unicel is part of RCC, or Rural Cellular Corporation. AFAIK, they have no affiliations whatsoever with Dobson.

Cell-One is a name carriers pay to use; there was once like 35+ companies using it (a lot less now) and RCC dropped it as a cost cutting measure (the official company word was that the $250K/year was not worth it). AT&T sold the name rights to Western Wireless and so on. There were also rumours that Western wanted to remove the C1 name from RCC as they were tarnishing the C1 image. That may sound far fetched, but RCC/Unicel is one of the poorest run compnaies out there- it's a real surprise they are still in business.

At this point in time, no. Rural Cellular Corp. used to use the CellOne name in most markets, but dropped the CellOne affiliation and rebranded all markets to the Unicel name last year.
