If you're really opposed

to government regulation of AT&T, then you should also be opposed to the government regulations that allowed AT&T to become the customer abusing monstrosity it is today.

But none of the AT&T lackeys on this website can ever be quoted for their hard line stance against how the current carrier oligopoly is ruining the market. You'll never hear them propose that these companies be busted up and the government regulations that prevent real competition from entering the market be removed. Nay, they just want to bellow about how the government should leave the market alone and let these carriers do as they please.

But be warned. These people do NOT hold the opinions of free market thinkers and capitalists. They are akin to animal rights acti...

What regulations are you talking about? There is no such thing as laws that allow something, laws can only restrict things. If there is nothing restricting AT&T from "becoming the customer abusing monstrosity it is today" then there doesn't have to be regulations to allow it.

It sounds like what you're trying to say is there should have been more regulation to not allow AT&T from "becoming the customer abusing monstrosity it is today".

Although I don't understand how you don't understand that if they really treated the...

On that point there is no right or wrong and I would just have to disagree and say that we need to let people make their own mistakes and learn from them. We will end up bankrupting the country trying to prop up people who are too lazy or stupid to take care of themselves. Now that's not to say that we shouldn't help those who truly need it, we should. In fact we should help them more than we already do. But I find it extremely hard to believe that all of the 109,631,000 recipients of welfare benefits are in true need, the ones gaming the system are ruining it for those who really need it.

🤣 🤣 🤣

Amazing how you somehow change the subject of ATT to welfare. You mus...

The subject was basically about government regulations that protect people from themselves. Which is essentially government spending money to prop up lazy/stupid people and welfare is another example of this. Not that big of a stretch.

I'm guessing I'm not the only one who noticed that this dude NEVER uses facts or cites sources to back his claims. He just likes to insult people then claim somehow what he is saying was written on a stone tablet by god for all the world to see.

Are you really that clueless about broadband and wireless regulations, or are you feigning ignorance just to argue a ridiculous point? Current regulations play favorites with large corporations and make it extremely difficult for startups to enter the market. One current case is the difficulty Google fiber is having expanding into areas dominated by AT&T and Comcast. I encourage you to read up on it. It's a very good example of how government regulation restrict...

Who has ever said that they were 'opposed to government regulation of at&t'? No one, that's who.

This is just a ridiculous and over the top strawman argument, on the same level with the people who argue that anybody who didn't vote for Obama is a racist.

The thread is right there for anyone to read. It is plain to everyone that BradK and yourself avidly opposed the notion of the government penalizing AT&T for abusing its customers. Perhaps you were confused and didn't realize that the thing you were opposing was government regulation?

Yes. my rational criticism of your irrational defense of AT&T is exactly equal to people who play the race card. Oh wait, was that a straw man argument?
