Congress Warns FBI to Leave Peoples' Cell Phones Alone

I don't see what the big deal is.

I have nothing to hide. I don't care if they FBI goes through my phone. They just might get jealous from my pics though. 😉

And plus its not like they just go through everybody's phone. Only people who are suspected of doing something bad. And the FBI has to get a warrant from an impartial judge.

Move to communist China if you feel so strongly about wanting the government to pry into your personal life. America was founded on the principles that the government is no better than the people they govern and we as individuals have the ability to to decide what's best for our own lives. We are moving towards a society where the government believes we are a bunch of idiots who don't know how to manage our own lives and wants to make us completely dependent on them for everything from our source of income to deciding what you should and shouldn't eat. If you're completely dependent on government then you have no choice but to continue to vote for those that promise more and more which will lead to the downfall of America, you cannot have...

A few fun facts for you.

1. Customs and Border Protection can go through your phone, computer, or any other device any time you cross the border, or they can seize them outright. No warrant needed. They also assert the right to stop you and do this anywhere within 100 miles of any U.S. border, including any shoreline. Again, no warrant needed.

2. Even with local police and the FBI, a warrant is not always necessary. If the officer believes (or claims) that the search is needed immediately, and there is no time to obtain a warrant, they will do the search without one, and then you have to go to a judge and prove that this was improper.
