So, to help with the bad rep they are getting as Cingular, they are changing their name?

Why not improve on the things that gave you the bad rep in the first place? 🙄

I have ot say that they are making GREAT strides in customer service. They used to be a real pain to deal with, but lately, my calls to customer service have been pleasurable experiences. There are definately signs of them moving in the right direction.

Yeah, but Verizon didn' jus' change their name.. they became quite a good wireless carrier too.

Consistently top-ranked or close in all the national surveys, an' with a churn rate about half of Cingular's.

An' les' not get started on how bad they're stompin' everyone in customer adds these days.

this is the critical point i think..

verizon wireless just has a very good brand image and network which helps they grow very well, but cingular and att wireless is on the other side of that spectrum.
