The E, G, and the Moto X are one of the best series of phones I have worked with from Motorola. CDMA has the Droids.

Why does AT&T sell the phone cheaper at their Cricket prepaid arm?

Sorry, meant to post this under the main thread not as a reply.

I don't know a reason why, but its always more expensive on postpaid. For example, I work at sprint. We sell the Kona for $14.99 on Sprint prepaid. The postpaid version is $99.99 (which can be spread out over 24 months, or on 2 year its free after $50 mail in rebate).

Once again, its not a reason, its just how it happens.

Therefore, while there was no enormous subsidy as you would get with a postpaid contract, prices tended to range from a very minor profit down to a slight (but not enormous) loss compared to the postpaid unsubsidized prices being a shake-down.
