Why put it in your back pocket...

Not that im trying to support apple or really any other manufactuer, but i never got the point of putting a phone in your back pocket anyways, what do you expect to happen when you do, is it not gonna have any consequence, your putting a lot of weight on a phone which we all know are fragile already so why do it, whether itll bend or break its just a matter of time,

Whether people shouldn't put phones in their rear pockets, front pockets, shirt pockets Etc, isn't a fair question. The fact that society adopts certain trends should be condusive to how manufacturers design their products. Yes, accidents happen but:

Cellphone manufacturers, in general, shouldn't be trying to design their products as if it's fine crystal. These phones are held or in possession of their users, in countless ways an average of 16 hours a day. They should be designed with that in mind. If people want to display their phones in lighted cabinets for people to envy, then we can you talk.

No matter what anyone wants to say about polycarbonate material, the resilience to this type of everyday handling, makes it an ideal choice....

and i agree with youon some points there, yes that metal feel is nice but its not a huge selling point to me, as long as the plastic feel isnt really cheap i dnt care put teh money into the phone itselfand ill be happy, mot likely ill have a case on it anyways

my only disagreement is the beginning, i dont get why anybody would keep their phone in their back pocket, i understand maybe if your just walking, i do it from time to time because its easier to get to but if im going to sit down i immediately take it out, phones today are just to fragile to do that whether it be of fear it may bend, break, crack whatever my happen i just dont get it, protect your phone simple enough

working in warranty i was amazed of how little people cared ab...

The reports were that the phones bent when in a front pocket. Not from from a sudden forceful impact, but a constant pressure (and possibly heat) causing slow deformation. Not acceptable in my opinion.

and what report is that because i dont see a way for that to happen, with all the test performed theres not enough pressure for that to happen

Note he says not only did his personal phone have a little bend, but also mentioned the reports of others who had them bend while in their front pockets.
