Review: Apple iPhone 6 Plus for AT&T
Phonescoop is soooooo hilariously hypocritical
Except that it misses many key features already available on the Note 3. You might conveniently dismiss the missing features, but that hardly justifies your statement here.
>> Apple went big. Finally.
In your articles and on the forums you guys have constantly and consistently maintained your position that small screens are better, even if everyone else disagrees with you. You couldn't be more hypocritical if you tried.
>>and plastic (eek!) to form the outer skin.
This is probably the only place in the article where you don't sound like an Apple apologist. I commend you for at least maintaining your position on build materials.
>> The 6 Plus is smaller than the...

Lololol at this review. It's a piece of garbage with how fragile the device is. There are countless reports out about people bending their brand new iPhone 6 Plus in their their pants. 🤣

Don't hear that happening with the Note series.
One commenter on that forum wrote, "Happy I didn't jump on the pre-order wagon on the iPhone 6 Plus at this point.. decided to wait a few months for the problems to get sorted out. Hopefully they will fix this by reinforcing it by then."
If history has shown us anything, Apple does not fix the problems with their devices. But maybe users can get another free case out of the deal, lol.
"Thank you for purchasing the most innovative and customizable iphone to date. You are about to experience a whole new revolution in comfort. We have incorporated a new patented technology called Tailored Formation into our gold standard iPhone6 Plus. We are very proud to offer this new technology and know you will enjoy it to its fullest."

"Speaking of which, the Note 3 is a large phone - larger than most flagship phones - and that’s the way it is supposed to be. The exceptionally huge 5.7-inch screen necessitates a tall and wide device. Even so, Samsung managed to make the Note 3 narrower than its predecessors. This is a major victory for users. It may be only 1 mm narrower, but the difference in the hand is major. Further, Samsung reduced the depth from 9.7mm to 8.3mm, and the weight from 6.35 ounces to 5.93 ounces. Added together, these reductions in size make th...

The Note 3 is a year old but definitely not out dated. However, the iPhone 6 is less than a week old and the specs and features are already outdated.
You're using paper specs compared to real world performance and BENCHMARKS. Mark my words, this A8 will MURDER the Note 3 - even the A7 did in many regards, and still does to this day - refer to AnAndTech and Toms for the benchmarks, you can do the homework yourself.
People can talk as much smack about the iPhone, but the companies using metal and glass, as opposed to plastic, as well as Siri like integration is literal proof of the other companies chasing after Apple.
I've also yet to see a line nor such a demand for a phone as the...

Choose wisely.
Also the "record breaking" pre sales is a little mis represented. Last iPhone launch there was only 1 device able to be pre ordered, this time they had 2 for pre order so of course they sold double.
so its clearly not every store only gett ing 2 phones so idk where you got that but every store here had quite a few of them
as far as teh record breaking sales that had nothing to do with the stores selling them, in a way maybe since stores take preorders, but most people either preordered through apple or through their carrier
I read it when you wrote it. But no, I didn't revisit it before making my post. Perhaps I should have.
>>Where in that passage did I "blast" the Note 3 for its size?
You didn't. I've reread that section of the original review and also the wrap up. I don't see anywhere that you dinged the device for its size. I was echoing the perceived sentiment about large devices on this site. Perhaps what I'm remembering was from a Note 2 review or even the original Note. Nevertheless, you didn't make those comments about the Note 3. I gladly retract that statement.
>>I've never "maintained that smaller screens are better." Rich prefers smaller phones because he ...

But let me show you why I feel the way I do. And keep in mind that the iPhone 6 plus is slightly larger than the Note 3. Here are some quotes the set the tone of the Note 3 review for me.
--------------------------------------------- ----------------------------
"What's not to like? Well, a few things, to be sure. The phablet-averse may find the Note 3 to be too much smartphone, "
"but the Note 3 is still big enough that some people will find ...

The only phone that comes close? The year-old iPhone 5s.
