So if BlackBerry WANTS to sell this device directly to Verizon customers, Evil Red should have no problem allowing it to be sold to them. I haven't forgotten Verizon's empty promises of Any Device Initiative. One of the terms of the 700 megahertz spectrum Verizon won in auction was that they would allow any device which passed their security requirements on their network. We know Blackberries are secure if nothing else. This Passport is certainly not attractive. It remains to be seen if anyone actually wants one.

I would buy one if I could afford it, even though I'm quite happy with my Z1O. I would buy it solely for Blackberry 10.3 with Amazon App Store. I know 10.3 is supposed to come to the Z10, but a&t may never actually send out the update. My only issue with Blackberry right now is the lack of apps, the Amazon App Store would fix that problem completely.

Yeah. That's a huge deal though. Lack of Apps is the reason why I use my Note 3 extensively while my Playbook gets no attention whatsoever.

Well, yeah, lack of apps is a big deal....which is why I currently have a Galaxy Note 3 on my line until 10.3 arrives and I can at least get Pandora.....if I could get the apps I need on my Z10 I wouldn't need to use Android at all....which is what I would really prefer

I've been holding my breath for that, but I really figured it was a lie from the beginning, just like locked cell phones.

There is no reason a sprint and verizon (or any CDMA) phone cant be used on each others networks. It is an artificially placed restriction based only on the ESN number range they allow to activate.

Not for LTE of course, bands and blah blah for high speed data LTE typically wont work but for calls and texts and EVDO data, sprint and verizon are interchangeable if they only allowed it.
