Is it just me, or do Verizon and AT&T's announcements that WI-FI calling won't be until 2015 sound like vaporware to anyone else?

Yes it does to me also. AT&T and Verizon just don't want to admit that there networks don' work everywhere. It's physically impossible to have your cellphone work everywhere. But Wifi can be implemented anywhere. Wifi calling is not only good for using when you have a weak signal in your home or office, but using it abroad to call back to the us for free. Both Sprint and T-mobile offer this feature. Sadly the big two are over looking this, and being very arrogant in their statements.

Yes Wifi an be implemented anywhere but that doesn't mean Wifi calling will work. You could implement Wifi in the middle of the ocean and still not be able to make wifi calls.

AT&T and Verzion don't need Wifi calling. And there is many options to use wifi to make calls back home from going overseas.
