Review: Samsung Blast

the t9 on it is pretty advanced. not only does it learn words but it also quickly learns which words you type most often and will offer to complete them for you. for example, the first time we used the Blast, we immediately gave it the phone scoop test. scoop was not even the first word the blast offered up. the next time, we used it, scoop was the first choice. a few days later, the blast was offering to compete the word scoop for us after we typed the first 2 letters.

the blast keypad has a nicer action than the pearl's. its keys aren't spongy or gushy. it also feels wider than the pearl, which is why i didn't have a problem using two thumbs on it. personally, i have to use two thumbs on QWERTY layout keyboard or i don't know where the letters are. if i use one thumb, i immediately start trying to T9 like on a numeric keypad. The point where the pearl wins keyboard-wise is feeling out the keys. it's nearly impossible to feel the keys on the blast.
