You do realize that all LTE services are GSM now (so Verizon is GSM for Data) and when LTE+ goes live even voice will be handled over GSM? The reason that Verizon does not carry Sony phones is almost exclusive to the fact that Sony does not have enough push in the cell phone world to compete the the Samsung and Apple devices on AT&T and Verizon networks. No one would buy them (presumably, I want the standard Z3 so badly). So they don't carry them.
