Because California. Dumb politicians being dumb as usual. I'd rather have control over the killswitch over the carrier. I have an iPhone so I can do it myself, but the carriers don't need their hands in it.

Android has a kill switch baked in as well. What's that, like 90% of cell phones between Android and iOS? What's the point in passing a law to do something that's already being done? This can only take freedom away from consumers and drive prices up. That's it.

you FOOLS dont know what you talking about !
if someone stole or rob your phone, that phone becomes useless! why would a thief or a thug want to rob your cellphone when they know it will be useless after they got it.
