Apple Offering to Replace Faulty iPhone 5 Batteries
It Just Works!
But saying that the whole, "You're holding it wrong." is my favorite joke. When someone brings me an iPhone and says its not working or doing something weird, I always say its because they are holding it wrong. And inevitably they don't get the joke and then I have to explain it to them and they proceed to drool on about how great their iPhone is.
Except that IBM invented the PC architecture. Apple threw in the towel about ten years ago and switched to the PC platform. But we have had IBM PC's since the 80's.
>> He created the mp3 market.
Long before anyone ever heard of a MP3 player (much less an ipod) I bought MP3's to listen to on my PC from a website called (can you guess the name) mp3.com.
>>And Android is as amazing as it is now because of Apple.
RIght, except that Linux has been around much longer than iOS. People were playing with linux on phones long before Apple knew what a cellular phone was. And HTC actually had the first phone with a touch screen, not Apple.

There was a very small niche market for MP3s. Apple brought MP3 plays mainstream. They took existing technology and made it better and they created the mainstream market and dominated it.
Its nice that Linux was around for a long time. But linux wasn't on cellphones before Apple came out. The iPhone in 2007 was revolutionary. No phone even came close to the iPhone back then. Touch screens were all ...

There is difference between a personal computer and a PC. Come back to me when you understand what that is.

On the one hand you want to give Apple credit for creating the PC (which they didn't). And even if I use the wrong definition of PC (personal computer), Apple didn't have the first personal computer. The first personal computer with a micro processor was the Micral in 1973. But it was IBM that made PC's mainstream, not Apple.

Why do you think that IBM went into the PC Market? Because of the success of the Apple II.
And how on earth do you think that
>>mp3's were already the de facto standard for music on an electronic device.?
Most people still bought full CDs at that time. What was revolutionary about he iPod was the combination with iTunes. Download all your music to one place and easily sync it with your iPod. For a normal non-nerd person that was amazing. Ask some non tech...

Originally the abbreviation PC did in fact mean personal computer. However, for the past 30 years it has been an acronym synonymous with the millions of IBM clones out there that use the Intel x86 architecture. Personal computers running on a different architecture are not considered PC's.
This is why you have never heard anyone using a MAC or Unix system refer to those systems as PC's. At inception the original PC's ran Intel 8088 and 8086 microprocessors and Microsoft Windows. MAC's of that era were running proprietary processors made by Motorola and Unix boxes were running Sun's Solaris processors.
