Sucks, because Windows isn't terrible, but Samsung and Apple have the market cornered. People actually think LG and HTC are different phones in it's entirety. I laugh and tell them it's like a Windows PC - you choose who the brand who assembles it is.


They honestly think the "Galaxy" is some special thing no other phone can have. It's amazing.

What amazes me is the number of people who don't know the difference between 'Android' and 'Droid'....I ask 'what kind of phone do you have?' and they say 'a Droid' and of course, 99 times out of 100, they do NOT have a Motorola Droid of any kind, they just have some random Android phone.

Verizon licensed the "Droid" name, from Lucas Films, for the Android powered phones that they sell. Same phones, not including Motorola brand, on other networks are called something else.
Motorola also pays for the use of the name for their "Droid" phones.
