You beat me to it! That was going to be my EXACT post too. Calling the camera a "selfie camera" I agree is really stupid, just like the term "Phablet", and several other terms used to describe smartphones.
Just like the term hashtag is ridiculous as well. My "device" has a "Front facing camera" not a "selfie camera" does that mean I can't take a selfie? Of course not. However, I have never, ever, taken a selfie with my phone, EVER, and I never will. I'm not James Franco.
There was also an article online about how excessive selfies can point to mental instability and other possible neurological issues.
