Note that the data is not shared, it is strictly 2.5GB LTE per phone, not a bucket like the other carriers. Also LTE allowance goes down by more than half in less than 1.5 years. This is not exactly "UN-carrier" to promote this as equivalent.

Yes there are advantages, including music streaming and overseas 2G data, but most users are going to read 10GB and four lines and not realize that this is a fundamentally different than the other carriers offerings.

For many young people this will be better because they use up all their data music streaming, but for others this plan will be problematic.
