i understand verizon wants to share and that is fined and dandy... but describing the range of our militarys usage does appear to give an upper hand to the enemy.

You're able to Google "Spectrum licenses" and get the same information online. It's all open information.

This has always been quite public info, for a number of reasons.

First, you can buy a handheld device for not terribly much money that will let you inspect and analyze any radio signal at any frequency. I'm pretty sure it would be absolutely trivial for any enemy to determine what band anyone else is using for RADAR. They all know these things already.

Also, the FCC has to manage and communicate what everyone is doing with every radio band in order to keep different services from interfering with each other. There are large blocks that are reserved for "Military" with no explanation given, but ...

The FCC also coordinates frequency bands with other governments worldwide. As our military operates globally, the band that our military (and other militaries) use for RADAR is something that needs to be coordinated to avoid interference. In wartime, all bets are off, but in peacetime, we don't want our ships' RADAR to interfere with cell phones on the coast of Japan, etc. So I believe these things are coordinated and communicated internationally.]

you realize that the whole world hates us because of how we spy on them?
The Germans are about to consider a ban on US products because we spied on them.
I'm proud of being an American too, but we do we need to spy on the whole world? If anything, WikiLeaks and Snowden did us all a favor because they exposed how ridiculous our government is. We burn too many bridges.
