Music player / phone interaction

Thanks for the review, but I'm really surprised you didn't address how the music player and phone interact, especially since you talk about how the music player works in the background.

If you are playing music and a call comes in, what happens? Does the music automatically pause and then resume when the call is over? What about for outgoing calls?

Thanks,

David

i didn't spend any time on it because we've shown it on other verizon phones before. when a call comes in, the volume is lowered to play the ringtone, then when you answer, the call is paused, automatically resuming when you hang up. making a call, the music is paused as soon as you press send, and resumed when the call ends.

You mentioned other Verizon Phones, I have the enV Ver. 1, have they updated the music player on software ver. 2 (aka enV Orange)? If this is the case, is it possible to get my phone flashed with the latest software to help the music player?

I have the silver enV w/ Verison 2 software which is the same exact thing as the Orange enV and there's nothing newer about the Music player. VCast Music will still automactically categorize all of your music the same way.

When you are listening to the music player and you want to make a call, do you have to close it out and then when you are done with your call do you have to boot up the application again and start over from the beginning? Or does it remember where you left off?

Ok so this is what I just experimented with. When you're playing music and you recieve an incoming call, the music player will stop, the call will go through and then when you're done, the music will continue from where it last left off. If you are MAKING a call, it's different cause you have to first stop the music player, make the call, then afterwards, turn th emusic player back on. That's just the way it is.

I just tried with my 8550 and im allowed to make call while music is playing.

I started a song and while it was playing i went into contacts, chose a contact then pressed send. The music paused when the call was connected then when the call was ended the music resumed.
