Is this purchase a play to get spectrum for the city of Santa Fe? It's just weird that AT&T has no LTE service in Santa Fe while every other major carrier does.

im not sure about this but it may not be one of their big markets, if there not getting a lot of subcribers from there it wouldnt have been a top priority

Actually, Sprint does not have LTE coverage in Santa Fe, and hasn't officially launched Albuquerque yet (even though there are some towers being tested).

Apparently, this spectrum is for southeastern New Mexico, so it probably doesn't include Santa Fe.
