The article doesn't state when Pre-Paid sales on TDMA have to stop. I'm sure any reasonable judge would give some time for Cingular to change their system.

OK there buddy you must not know what 'immediately' means or something. Because when they say "Cingular must immediately stop selling TDMA prepaid service to new customers, but can continue providing service to current customers for 90 days", means all of our current prepaid cust, and any new current cust wanting to sign up for it are screwed. Trust me I've been sent in circles trying to find someone to sign people up for prepaid. It ain't gonna happen. And for the fact that Cingular knew about this but doesn't bother to advise there employees so we can tell our customers is kinda crooked too.

If you are STILL selling TDMA pre-paid, I don't understand why. Cingular is a GSM provider for the past couple years or so. There are no more TDMA sales in my market so if there are still TDMA pre-paid sales going on, it's news to me.

Why would anyone want to sign up for it anyway? We are now a GSM carrier with a legacy TDMA network, whats left of it anyway. The TDMA coverage isn't much to speak about, so why even sell it.

It was being appealed in court, but the company that provides the billing for TDMA to Cingular violated some patents. We are still able to support those customers that have TDMA, as well as sell new GSM prepaid phones. Cingular will probably turn to paying the owner of the patents some sort of royalty fee, and continue to work on upgrading the cur...
