Abandonware

Carriers/manufacturers love to preinstall these junk Android bloatware abandonware apps. The majority of these apps are full of bugs/security holes, poorly designed, and just stop working or become obsolete before the device has been out of the gate for a short period of time.

I'll stick with my fruit phone which works years beyond its original design, and doesn't cripple itself when they decide that a certain app or function becomes unprofitable. It just works.

I like nice things and I value an elegant customer experience. Does that make me a fanboy? Maybe

"it just works." fanboy
The fact you sound more like you are reading ads for apple then actually giving reasons sounds like a fanboy. The fact you can't give a better reason then "it just works" as to "nice things" makes you a fanboy. I bet you own beats also. Apple does get worse and doesn't magically run at the same efficency years later. Apple cannot break the laws of thermodynamics.

Apple and Android are diametrically opposites when it comes to software support.

How many Androids are running outdated versions and are abandoned by the manufacturers - even though the processor will support KitKat? Too many to list.

I have an Atrix HD that Motorola committed months and months and months ago to updating to 4.4 - yet I'm still on 4.1.2., what kind of bullcrap is that?

Yet, how many old-school Apple phones from years ago are running the latest iOS? I don't see many iPhone4 users running old iOS.

Apple doesn't abandon its loyal users - That's why they have such a loyal following.

Just the facts.

(blaming android for your carrier not releasing it the new update)

(yes but a lot of people do complain about the iphone 3gs, 4, 4s do complain because ios 7 has had a profound effect on their memory and peformance. plus they are releasing for ios7 being horrendous at launch apple usually just saying get a new phone which leads to.)

Apple doesn't abandon its loyal users.
(by telling them they need to get a new phone.)

You want to talk about supporting old operating systems? Microsoft supported Windows XP for 13 years. Apple no longer supports Mac OS X Lion even though it is only 2 years old. And forget about getting support for something like Snow Leopard.

since you mentioned that it actually can, if its something with an update you cant get, jailbreak the device if its something device related reset it or pay to get the battery replaced or whatever the issue is, with repairs and actually taking care of something everything can, that includes androids and windows phones

The problem with that is that those laws will always prevail. Repairs and restarts will always wear down and not keep the same output.

Anybody who uses the term "bloatware" is a BGR tool. The pre-loads the handset manufacturers load are typically just basic stub apps and the full app does not get downloaded until the users opens the app for the first time. So the "bloat" is generally just a few KB of space. Which is hardly bloatware. So next time why don't you actually look at what you are talking about prior to opening your mouth and proving you are a tool.

The only "bloatware" is loaded by the carrier and usually a user can delete those apps.

I don't wear panties. Go Google BGR. By not knowing you just showed you are a bigger tool then I thought.

I don't disagree with you. You don't know what you are talking about. Disagreeing would be if you had a different opinion. You know the old saying "it is better to keep your mouth shut and let people think you are a fool then open it and remove all doubt." You just removed all doubt. 🙄
