I think the 8940 was a definite step in the right direction. Nice handset.

Eh. I am indifferent to it. Been burned so many times by Audiovox phones I guess I'm a bit prejudiced against it. The 9900 was pretty nice though, made by Toshiba I believe

I have also had excellent luck with the Audiovox lineup. I have had the 9155GPX, CDM9500 and currently the CDM9900. All have been good to me.

And all Toshiba derived phones if I'm not mistaken.
I have also had excellent luck with the Audiovox lineup. I have had the 9155GPX, CDM9500 and currently the CDM9900. All have been good to me.
