I think you are jealous that moto is starting to combine their amazing aesthetic designs with technical features that surpass everyone else. Once they bring out the new LINUX based operating system on all the phones, moto users wont be the ones complaining.

Moto users will be complaining.....

.....about their non-moto friends who whine and complain their phones work like crap or don't do what the moto phone does.

Been selling phones for 4 years now, never heard more complaints of any company than Motorola. Tech support sucks, phone quality not good, too many returns.

The current OS is what is giving MOTO a bad name. Maybe once the new OS that is heavily needed, will revive them. Plus, it will take a few months to a few years for them to work out all the bugs of the new Linux OS, once it becomes available. Also, they will have to train their reps, so that they will be able to explain the new OS, to the customers. Not everyone is used to Linux OS's. The Most commonly used OS's are Windows, Mac OS, and the rest are in a small percentage. But, as of now, the current OS sucks.

Most people will not know it is Linux running as it will be tailored to look like an OS made for a phone. There will be no boot screen with modules, filesystems, and other services starting. Hell, with the Linux on Ipod project, if you gave it to someone they may notice a differance from the original, but they don't have to know anything about Linux to use it (aside from the filesystem browser)

And, from what I have experianced with Motorola phones made in the past 2-3 years, alot of the problem are the charging pins on the bottem not holding up well. (Not saying it can't be something else with other phones that are GSM for instance)

Haven't heard that before:

When we change ________(fill in blank with noun) then that will make ____________(fill in blank with problem) better.

Motorola has been saying that for years and they are still coming out with crap.

Now all they have to do is get the recurrent bugs out of their handsets (minus the handsets sold to Nextel), and everything's kosher.

I've been very happy with Moto phones and Linux will make it that much better. On the other hand I was really disapointed with LG.
