I never thought Apple would allow this, but it would be nice to see Google keyboard, swype, and all the other keyboards on Android come to iOS.

Well, it's not like they had any other choice. Their market share was going down, so they had to "open" to other areas where the competence is strong. Not only this, but the iPhone 6 will come in 2 different sizes as well, this since people were getting tired of getting no option from Apple, but the 4 inch. screen.
Apple has to make a lot of changes to get its game back on.

Had Apple waited till next year to do all of these changes they certainly would of been overtaken by its competitors. Not saying they are out of the woods but they are following the crowd now.

A lot of people have switched for that very reason. In case you hadn't noticed, screen size is kind of a big deal.

not to a lot of people. if you havent noticed a lot of people have been upset since doing so because these phones theyre getting are too big for em.

the real point i was trying to make (assuming theyre wanting to stay around the same screen size) was if someone is looking for a new phone, and currently have a 4in android phone, depending on whether or not theyve had problems with the OS, theyre gonna be more likely to get another android than a differnt OS or even manufacturer

I honestly think you're missing the boat on big screens. Articles are coming out now cutting the forecasts for tablet sales because phablets are eating up some of the tablet market. They're highly popular (not to say that everyone wants one).

But I do agree with your conclusion that no one is leaving Android over screen size. There are a plenty of capable Android devices with 4" screens.

Moto X - 4.7"
Moto G - 4.5"
HTC One Mini 4.5" plus it is a mini version of a larger screen phone
All the phones you listed have screens larger than that of the iphone. When was the last 4" flagship android phone?

its basically the same noones really gonna complain that the screens a half inch bigger, because the phones themselves are really the same size,
as far as flagship theres not gonna be any because no android complany makes a small flagship phone, if you want a good phone thats hasa 4in screen could actually give you one, Galaxy S III mini
