Really, its near impossible to compete with android and apple OS wise, yeah they arent perfect but they are sturdy and getting your favorite apps on anything else is near impossible. I got a windows phone because i wanted to split from the mainstream and that was a mistake.

Well, you know, because they can.
To be honest, I won't talk until I try this, I have to admit it sounds good based on the reviews, though.
At least it's another option from the Adroid-Apple duopoly (since Windows isn't that strong, yet). So, I'll wait a little before commenting.

Nokia did this too before they went the way of the Lumia and Windows. The S40 and S60, Symbian, Symbian Belle, the Meego(one hit wonder). Samsung has nothing to lose trying this. Their pockets are deep enough after the Galaxy successes.

Unless you have no life and need to fill the void by finding ways to get your electronics to work, it makes no sense to go off the mainstream with these kinds of things. In the 90s I used alternate OSes like Windows NT and got nothing but burned because NOTHING WAS DESIGNED FOR IT. Being better in theory means s***t when you can't use it. I have better things to do with my time than find poorly documented solutions that don't end up working to problems caused by using some obscure OS that no one else uses.
