AT&T once a monopoly then broken up, is back together again thanks to failed government. If this deal goes through, AT&T will be the largest pay tv provider in the world.

We look at how they will finance this deal and it clearly shows how the smaller carriers could not compete on the financial level of buying power regardless of "parent companies" involvement. AT&T was always in control even after the break up.

Here it is people in black and white. You asked for it, you've got it. Welcome to the dystopian mega merge era where companies gain power and the consumers lose choice.

Go blame your corrupt government and corporate lobbyists.

Capitalism got out of control in this country - and so did the influence and campaign donations.

People are not very bright they have no clue what is going on. They keep believing everything the TV tells them. Kinda like my Political Science teacher saying the Founding fathers were liberalist but they forgot to mention the liberalist of today and then are not even close to the same things.

Liberals in the founding father's day were more like what we call libertarians today. But why bring that up when the entire liberal philosophy is to change or even reverse the meanings of words while maintaining the connotations.

Comcast is largest in terms of "Mass Media." Pay Tv is what AT&T is after. This is the threshold of more profit to be made due to more paid services. Mass Media is tv but also radio and other forms of communication. When was the last time you were billed for public radio?

AT&T will be the largest of "Pay Tv." Considering it's history in trying to propogate through inconsistencies for it's purchasing reasons, I would not want to be entangled in its cross hairs. Time warner and Comcast were bad enough. The switch to DirecTv was a small saving grace. I do not want my current satisfaction with direcTv to be tarnished due to AT&T eliminating the choices I have at this point. We know very well that AT&T will cut choices while bundling to buil...
