For that kind of spectrum and that many tower sites, why in the world don't I know who Crown Castle is? What are they doing today?

They're a tower company. They actually own many the towers on which all of the major carriers put their regular antennas. They haven't actually had their own spectrum or put up their own antennas... until now.
