I know right, why would you want to pay $4.58 a month for unlimited voice and text if you cant buy a Galaxy S5 for $799.99?

Where the heck did you get that price? Sprint is charging $649.99 for the Galaxy S5 ($0 down + $27.09 a month for 24 months). A 4-year old phone with a single core processor, 512MB Ram and WiMAX is not worth $120.00

Okay I didn't verify MSRP and carrier offset pricing but the point remains, FreedomPop is a Value carrier. Do many people signing up for a $5 a month plan really want the latest and greatest phone or even last years without a subsidy?

I doubt it, and I personally am glad they arent selling current line-up phones, because if they did have high-end phones they would have tons of money tied up in equipment, and would go broke in short order. And please FreedomPop if your listening, never ever offer the arpu devouring iphone, it looks like an apple but tastes like bankruptcy.

If you want a high end handset on a $5 a month carrier, bring it yourself, which is actually the whole point of the article but (thankfully) don't expect a value mv...
