Pretty much explains why Samsung copied Apple

After a week with this phone, it's pretty embarrassing. I have no idea by what metric this phone is considered the "Pinnacle of Design for Samsung" - for one, it's kind of like saying "The pinnacle of music from Canada" , and secondly, Samsung as produced some totally-not-terrible designs in the past (Galaxy Nexus, anyone?)

Just about any competing phone- the Motorola X, the Nexus 5, the HTC One- all of them are leagues better in terms of feel, solidity, and hell- aesthetics (subjective, but c'mon.)

Special points for:
-The poor imitation of the beautiful low-poly background used by Google/Motorola that Samsung is using.
-The totally arbitrary colors of the settings icons that don't seem to correspond with anything
-The fingerp...

So I assume you are a fanboy and just hate anything that a lot of people like. 16GB for apps is a lot of apps. The SD card support is because of Google. Lag? What Lag?

Yes, because hating something that's terrible automagically makes someone a fanboy. That's the only reasonable explanation.

Touchwiz adds about a quarter-second lag to inputs to handle the Samsung animations (there's actually a developer option to speed these up, which helps, but is absolutely asinine.)

SD Card support in Android is a joke period. Why they don't include 32GB of internal memory is beyond me.

Maybe it is because your title states "how Samsung copied Apple" but your comments are "how Samsung did NOT copy Apple". That makes you a fanboy.

And your last comment just makes you plain ignorant.

SD Card support in Android is a joke period. Why they don't include 32GB of internal memory is beyond me.

Samsung did include 32GB in the GS3 and everybody bought the 16GB version as they wanted to use and SD card. BTW you might try to hide your fanboy-ness a little more. You came out of the closet in a big way and that took courage. All the Apple butt nuggets are proud of you!!

I'm pretty much going to stay away from debating you for the simple reason I haven't had much time to play around with my S5 due to being extremely busy. I will, however, point out that two of my freinds that were iphone users for the last five years, have nothing but praise for their new S5s that they bought. The stuff that I have used so far, has performed meticulously well. I did experience an issue with the camera. The same issue Eric had pointed out when the picture stabilization is activated. It's not as though it's useless however.

I do need to note that we are all aware of your displeasure with Samsung and can't help to think that it will never meet your specification.

The device is subjective just as is cuisine. I may like...

the other thing taking away the menu key and replaceing it with what they call teh recent key, or task manager.

For once I actually agree with this fool lol. I never thought I'd see the day.

Oh and blue you forgot about the crappy speakers, ugly design and cheap build quality although I think you covered that when you mentioned aesthetics

I chose the HTC One M8. Sure the camera may not be up to par with the GS5's but it's a much better handset all around. It is simply stunning just to look at. Gorgeous. Always turns heads and makes the GS5 look so cheap it ain't aint even funny. Sense is more low key these days too than TouchWiz. It's not in your face. You got the best god damn speakers on a smartphone, gorgeous screen. More accurate colors than the GS5 that makes everything look like a cartoon.

The Galaxy S line really has to be the most ov...

Don't know how or why Samsung would want to copy Apple...Samsung and Android have far, far more market share and sales than does Apple.
