I've done quite a bit of research on KitKat and I've never come across that fact. (Unless I've gleaned right over the fact of information)

I've heard that but I haven't tried it yet. It's only a matter of time before I need to edit content on my sd card though.

I just read an article saying that this is indeed true. However, some OEMS have modified Android to allow SD card support anyway, bnut it doesn't always work right. If you're still having trouble, there is a fix on this thread.

I can confirm that it IS True. ☹️

Kit Kat removes the ability to Move, Delete, or Modify files on your installed microSD Card. Files can still be accessed and read just fine however.

And the "fix" in that XDA link only works for Rooted devices.
