Sprint Says Carrier Aggregation to Boost Spark Past 120Mbps
2.5 GHz is irrelevant to the majority of POPs...
Verizon, T-Mobile, and some AT&T customers already have REAL-WORLD 100 Mbps speeds in areas where they've deployed 20x20 AWS. This is on top of their 700 spectrum and soon-to-be 850 and 1900 LTE.
These THEORETICAL 120 Mbps speeds mean absolutely nothing for 100% of Sprint's LTE handsets already sold. They still haven't said anything about adding a 2nd 1900mhz carrier (not for aggregation, but for capacity), the 2.5 GHz carriers won't do much good for people in suburban or rural areas, because of the distance limitations and fragilty of the 2.5 GHz spectrum.
They should be more focused on rolling out their SMR 850 LTE carrier that they poached from Nextel, as well as rolling out a 2nd PCS LTE carrier. If their 850 LTE doesn't work as ...
