HTC One M8 battery drain in low signal areas?

I had an htc one and loved it BUT it had one problem. In low signal areas the battery drained really fast. Combine that and slow charge speed and I had to get rid of it.

In your review did you notice faster battery drain in low signal areas?

That's going to be an issue with any phone, by the nature of physics. If it drained noticeably faster than other phones in the same spot, then perhaps the other phones were getting better signal in that spot. (Keep in mind that most signal "bar" meters are a notoriously inaccurate way to measure actual signal.) The new One has redesigned antennas, so it could be better in that regard.

My current LG phone does the same thing unless I turn the Sync feature off. Since it's a quick toggle it's easy and quick to do so hasn't really been an issue for me.
