Went he get what he wants, what do you think it's going to happen?

Do you ever hear about "the big three" in canada?

If not, I suggest you to make a little research,

Agreed. Having only 3 carriers will lead to a single rate with 3 carriers offering it. It will be HORRIBLE for consumers.

I just want you to compare plans before T-Mobile started to shake things up last year. Think that only worse!

I agree, keep it four carriers. I just hope the FCC understands how important it is that T-Mobile gets their hands on nationwide licenses of the 600mhz spectrum next year, even if it's only a 10mhz chunk of spectrum, but it's gotta be nationwide licenses in order for T-Mobile to be able to be a competitive force against the big 2.

Exactly, 4 carriers work the best, inept managment at Sprint isn't going to solve any problems if they buy out T-Mobile, Softbank or no Softbank. Let Son clean house, get his so called "Spark" LTE all over the country and win clients back. Calling people who decide not to use Sprint, or T-Mobile mindless zombies as stated in a previous post (and not by you) is insulting and arrogant.

Its getting real old hearing the moaning and groaning of those who prefer to use Sprint and go all fanboi over them, blaming VZW and AT&T for their problems is not the answer. None of these companies are your friends or out for your best interest.

It weird how Sprint claims they can't get Spark rolled out faster because they can't get the equipment and hardware from the networking companies, but yet T-Mobile was able to cover 209m with LTE in as little as 8mo's.

I live in NJ (OK let the jokes begin) EVERY carrier but Sprint has LTE service by me and all around the area. (Ocean County). Sprint couldn't even provide WiMAX when they're rolling it out.

Even with everything I said, I don't want Sprint to fail, but I don't want them screwing T-Mobile up either. If Softbank fixes them up, and in a few years or sooner if it may they provide cheaper and good service at a lower cost, I'd try them.

It would be better if a non mobile company buys T-Mobile if thats what has to be done, or if DT decides stay in for the long term and back them up.

Yeah, there has been mentions of Dish buying T-Mobile. That would work, cause it wouldn't be minusing a national carrier. Just not sure if Dish has the capital to buy T-Mobile.

I think Dish would Sprintisize T-Mobile. Not good. Comcast would be better. And I'm sure other companies.

Can't really say a whole lot of companies have $50-$55bln laying around, I heard that's how much DT originally paid for VoiceStream 12yrs ago.

How you describe Sprint, makes me think about democrats, for example instead of making things better for themselves, they complain when someone else succeeds.

You may have missed the news that TT-Mobile gained 4.4 million customers in 2013, and regardless of whether YOU can accept it or not, it's only a matter of time before T-Mobile takes the #3 spot from the dysfunctional Sprint.
Either Q4 this year, or Q1 next year, it will happen.

Add customers without gaining profit is adding more expenses. That means they will lose even more customers. What T-Mobile is doing isn't sustainable. They are trying to make their stock price go up so they can be sold.

Think about why Deutshe Telecom wants to sell T-mobile US off so badly?

I'm sure John Legere knows more about running a company their you. The company is just STARTING to turn around. The 4th qtr of last year was the beginning of the turn around.

Then why hasn't DT said no to sprint buying T-mobile USA. You would think that if DT did not want to sell T-Mo then they would say something like what you just said. But they haven't. They know that T-mobile cannot sustain what they are doing and if they keep going for a few more years doing what they are doing then they will fail.

Because DT is now taking a long-term approach to the U.S. market.

Even in that article it says that they are taking that view if they aren't allowed to be bought by Sprint. And it even said they are going to have less cash flow this year and next year.

Also they want to make it look like they aren't going to sell to increase their stock price to get a higher price from Sprint.

By themselves Sprint and T-Mobile can't make a dent in VZW and AT&T.

Spark is not designed to be deployed all over the country. It is carrier aggregation meant for populated metro areas. It allows the equipped device to instantly choose what frequency is best for the application demanded. This frees up the other frequencies for others that are using other applications. The speeds will be awesome due to lessened overloads. While my city will most likely not receive spark, I'm excited about the move forward.

Recently, I have admitted the awful experience with Sprint's service where I live. Dropped calls, signal disappearing and reappearing. I accepted and dealt with the fact that it had to do with the network vision upgrade. Sprint assured me that it will improve over the next month. The time has come and I...

John,
To be honest, plain ole LTE is fine, on a phone, having bragging rights on who's the fastest is of marketing. And I guess there's somethint to be said about that because of he nature of advertisement. But in the end, after a certain amount of speed it becomes diminising returns. I can see something with tethering to a laptop or desktop, but even that fast is fast. At present mobile data wasn't designed for running one's household.

Prices are already plummeting, there is no need to start a price war, which is just another way of saying 'a race to the bottom'.

2 years ago, I was paying $89.99 a month before taxes for wireless service, after changing my plan yesterday I will be paying $65 before taxes a month, and I will be getting more, not less for that money, because I now have unlimited talk and text, which I've never had before.

Same, in fact a better, plan, $24,99 less a month than it was 2 years ago. That will save me $299.88 a month. And those prices dropped without any kind of price war.
