There's no denying that John Legere has given Tmobile a little fire light under its arse. But, in reality, he's manged to do exactly what every other carrier has done that's been on the chopping block. T-mobile has been grabbing the worst customers of the three larger. Yet, VZW, Sprint and AT&T actually have not been hurt by Tmobile's move. Sprint finally turned a profit, AT&T has gained higher profile consumers and VZW has done the same. In essence, the industry is moving exactly the same as it has always done. The other carriers are just performing finance magic. Offering deals yet shifting profits from other places within the plans. Can Sprint afford to give deals away like Tmobile? Technically, Tmobile can't afford to do it. It's the Hail Mary of wireless. I think you maybe underestimating the potential of Softbank's handle on Sprint, and Tmobile is still for sale.
