"can't compete" nonsense

Somehow the corporate raiders have even convinced laypersons of this garbage excuse.

There is no reason why everyone has to be as big as Verizon. It's just a load of arbitrary BS.

Also note the backward logic. We have to buy up customers so we can be competitive? It's supposed to work the other way.

Ah, but that's exactly the same strategy Verizon and At&T used to get so big in the first place. Anyone remember Bell Atlantic Mobile or GTE? How about SNET wireless? McCaw Cellular Communications? BellSouth?

Some of those were necessary so that they weren't limited to covering only a few states (especially back when roaming was so expensive). But now they just want more customers in the same areas.

It really is disturbing to see people that claim to be technology enthusiasts, play the hate card rather than try to understand the scope of what is essentially happening in this industry that could have far more detrimental effects on all of us consumers. Hating a carrier does nothing to restore the consumer balance of pow...

Sprint gots greed in its eyes, to gain spectrum they don't know how to use. I recently left Sprint for T-Mobile. I have better voice and data coverage by my house. We can't get cable or DSL at my house so I use a T-Mobile Hotspot. I also use my iPhone to stream Netflix so I have unlimited un-throttled internet, something Sprint can't keep theyre promise on. I personally don't want to see Sprint merge with T-Mobile.
