An Audiovox 8915 being released (in most areas the 891X is being discontinued) is not news.

The 8915 is technically an all-new phone that replaces the 8910. It's not that different from the 8910 in terms of features, but technically it is new.

"who cares?"
How childish.
I love my 8910 & with the addition of AIM, I'm sure new users will enjoy the 8915.
The user interface is not as appealing as Verizon's but it gets great reception. If I had to, I'd buy it again.

Really? Every Verizon, Sprint PCS, T-Mobile, Cingular and NexTel phone that is released gets front page coverage?

I don't think so. Only phones that are yet to be released or is previewed by the manufacturer gets the story. I see PR releases on most phones, more of them not of a 2 year old design that do not get coverage in Phonescoop.

Like I said, must've been a slow news day and PRStateofMind is right, as an ex-owner of a Audiovox 8910, it is a POS.
