Water Resistant

-are they?

I asume they are, but what would be the grade of it? Can they only stand sweat or can I actally wear them in the shower?

Yep, IP67. Resistant to sweat/splashing and a quick dunk.

I mean, why would you wear an expensive electronic device in the shower, even if you can? In the very, very slightest of chances that water does get inside, it's broken.

I mean, working for T-Mobile, I saw an account once where one of the lines had over 40,000 text messages sent in less than a month, I saw it with my own eyes. The caller was the parent of the person who had the line, apparently a 13 year old girl. She would put her phone inside a ziplock bag so she could keep texting even when in the shower.

It's not because I want to do that, is to measure what's the product's resistance. I'm not planning to take it into the shower with me (it was an example), but there are other scenarios that may involve the same exposure to liquids. Don't take it too literal.

If they made a deal with Casio to make a G-Shock version that is actually waterproof and durable, it might be a worthy watch replacement.
