It's all fine and good, however

app availability is still rather limited compared to Android OS.

I would love to buy a Nokia phone for a full retail price no questions asked but there are about 6 apps that I need that are not available for WP8 and that's what stops me.

It always seems like Nokia is playing catchup to Android and Apple. First their phones were weak and now they still do not have full app support. I liked WP8 but could not stand their inferior phones or lack of apps.

what exactly is "full app support"? I use a Nokia Windows phone and every major app I need is there. People complaining about the Windows app store are the people who want some ridiculous 3rd party weather app that is garbage and not needed. Windows OS is a breath of fresh air compared to iOS and Android. Get real when complaining about Apps. Please list the major apps that are not available that an average daily user will not be able to live without. I'm listening.....

Having had the HTC 8X for about 6 months, big ones for me were, a buggy Spotify app, uTorrent, MX Player (Or an equivalent) a couple of my banking apps, Pebble support, and more minor ones like Snapchat, Playstation, and Instagram

I don't see anything that you listed that an average daily user needs. You list a "couple of your banking apps". All major ones are there, can you list your major banking apps that arent there? I stated that all "major" apps are available. If you are referring to some 3rd party app for your bank in the Appalachian Mountains then true, prolly not there. And for your "buggy" Spotify app, I could go on for days about the "buggy" apps I had on Android. I have Instagram and have zero issues with it, not sure what you're referring to.

I use uTorrent and MX Player extremely frequently and for me they're highly important. And in terms of banking apps it may have changed since I stopped using it about 6 months ago. I don't currently have a single buggy app on my HTC One right now besides an app that is a beta download. But when I'm paying for a service, I don't want it buggy, I want it flawless, which Spotify is on both iOS and Android. That's on Spotify and not Windows I know, but it echoes the attitude that many developers have towards Windows Phone.

I understand your point, the average user would be perfectly fine with the selection on the app store now, but most of us on this site are not average users.

WokeUpAsADonut, you are correct. Most of us on this forum are not average users. We are professionals and we require more than an average user does.

Out of the "major" banking apps, US Bank, Citibank, Discover, American Express, Bank of the West. Out of the other apps, Toyota Entune app for their Entune in-dash information and entertainment system is missing.

As it stands now, there are 6 apps missing that I wish were there in order for me to make the switch to WP.

Windows app store is missing NHL Gamecenter which is very important to me. I had a Samsung Focus windows 7 phone before, and it was by far the best and smoothest phone i've had. I always noticed it missing apps that I had wanted.

Lol. Yeah, I hear NHL Gamecenter is real deal breaker and what is keeping Windows OS down. If they would just get that "major" app they would be way more of the market share.

Why should someone reply to you? You just put down the apps listed. Big one for me is SiriusXm radio. The on demand listening is very nice. Slam away

Another issue is the absence of MHL and OTG.
