If they can fit that beautyful 41MP camera with Nokia software and a HD res screen I'll make sure to get it!

+1

Anyway, the story does say that it is for 'emerging markets' which likely means 'cheap and low end'.....still....the prospect of Android with Nokia services is almost as appealing to me as the idea of Windows Phone with Blackberry services, if Microsoft had chosen to buy Blackberry rather than Nokia....

No your off because your an Apple fanboy, I come to this conclusion from all your comments.

Pros for iPhone:
64 bit because it future proof the device, even though its won't be taken advantage for a while.
Optimize iOS for the hardware
OS updates immediately

Cons for iPhone:
No choice for a removable battery
No choice for a SD card
No choice for display size
No choice for different option
No choice to allow you to customize it to make it yours
Forces you to use it Apple's way
Limit specs even though Apples could easily put better specs and push the hardware while still optimizing the software

Those cons are why people do not like using the iPhone, but there's millions of people who love the iPhone which is fine. Until yo...

Exactly. It's just like religion, it's good if you have it but don't come and try to shove it down everyone's throat.

There's nothing I hate more than when I am asking for help with some complicated tech support issue for my PC and the response I get back is a smug 'buy a Mac'... 🙄 Hey, I actually own a Macbook Pro, I don't hate the Mac, I hate Apple as a company because I think they have dishonest and amoral business practices, but I generally like their products as far as it goes, but this arrogant 'get a Mac', really makes me angry, as if Macs have absolutely no issues of their own....please I own a fricking Mac, I know that the claim that they 'just work' and no one ever has any issues or problems with them is a complete load of crap. The most recent update to OS X 'Mavericks' completely hosed my system and it took me about 6 hours of technical...

I will be honest I do push Linux a little much but I have come to realize that there are people who prefer Windows, Mac, BSD, or UNIX for whatever reason. Let people use what they are comfortable and happy with, because if you push them onto another OS they will be unhappy.

It usually comes down to, which devil do you know the best.

I actually fired an IT guy once at work because he was trying to force everyone to use Linux rather than Windows. The job of IT is to help us use the specific tools we choose to work with, not to try to force us to do things their way.

Unless its the IT person's business, the IT person should use what the business wants. That doesn't mean he can't suggest updates/upgrade of the OS (XP to 7/😎 or to change OSes, but he must give the decision makers a valid reason why they should waste more money on IT. Most of the time if the business is using Windows or Macs the cost of transferring everything to Linux and getting everyone comfortable with it is way to high for any business.

Windows is actually a decent enterprise OS, and that's were they should stay focused. I don't think Microsoft can be a enterprise and consumer OS.

>>I don't think Microsoft can be a enterprise and consumer OS.

Microsoft isn't an OS, it's company. But it makes an OS called Windows. Microsoft has successfully been catering to both consumer and enterprise markets since the days of DOS, e.g. as long as it has been possible to service both markets with same/similar products. So, whether or not you think they can do both... they always have.

>>Wait since when does the Samsung Galaxy S4 give you the option of a different screen size?

You know good and well that Samsung makes a plethora of devices with different configurations and screen sizes.

>>Doesn't Samsung force you to use it Samsung's way?

If by, "Samsung's way," you mean, "however best suits you," then, yes.

>>Isn't the iPhone 5S just as fast as the S4 with lower specs? Heck, isn't the Moto X just as fast as the S4 with lower specs?

Well, if you lower the specs of a Ferrari, my Buick will be just as fast as well.

You do realize that I said Samsung Galaxy S4. I'm comparing one phone to one other phone.

Realistically both ways are the exact same. You touch an icon and it loads an app. Same thing.

>>You do realize that I said Samsung Galaxy S4. I'm comparing one phone to one other phone.

And that's exactly the problem. You're insinuating that Samsung is no different from Apple, by comparing one model phone to one model phone. But the truth is that Samsung makes many models, while Apple only has one. They're as different as possible in that regard. Your statement was at best disingenuous.

>>Realistically both ways are the exact same. You touch an icon and it loads an app. Same thing.

Hardly. Don't trivialize the topic by pretending to be ignorant of the differences between Android and iOS. They've been highlighted so many times on this website that they're almost cliche. You are very aware of them, and I'm not about to list th...

The based on your statement about cases the same is true for the Galaxy s4. There are cases with an extended battery that is more than $70. You had not said anything about specialty cases previously. You just said cases.

LOL. That blackberry keyboard case. I hope they get their pants sued for that one. Its pretty blatantly a ripoff of the blackberry keyboard.
