T-Mobile HotSpot @Home Review
Why This Is A Great Idea For T-Mobile's Pockets
You have to be a min 39.99 rate plan which gives you 600 min.
You have to add $20 (Yes I know about the intro rate...even at $10 they get you) to get access to the unlim calling wi-fi option.
That would actually put your bill at $59.99...which on the regular T-mobile plans gives you 1500 Anytime.
They are counting on you NOT using more than 900 Additional minutes at home.
And for the people who will say its not VOip, get over it call it what you want, its a generalization of the subject.

Internet---->T-Mobile Switch----->Other providers switch----->Other persons phone
Path of any other VoIP call:
Internet---->Other providers switch----->Other persons phone
It still costs T-Mobile money, it is only skipping one step of a traditional call. The reason why it is unlimited is because its stationary, its only certain spots that you can use it. Just like with myfaves its only those 5 numbers that are unlimited. Its unlimited because it is inherently limited, not because it doesn't cost T-Mobile money.
