International Note3 has this Kill Switch!

what is does is when you reset your phone, it requires you to enter your password before you can process.

But who pushes this reset button? Is this the software reset button that can be overrode when you root your phone? From my understanding they are wanting a hardware Kill switch that will completely brick your phone, from my understanding by frying the hard drive (but I could be wrong on that part) so when it is reported stolen it will completely brick the phone so thieves can't use the phone. Which if its software kill switch than Android device manager (or any other comparable app) or iPhone's find my iPhone is just as good. But this hardware kill switch is suppose to brick the phone completely even if it's been software reset.

wireless carriers have the PIN number to unbrick your phone! it' like your car, only you and the car dealer have the key to your car!

But just like the car alarm can be taken off your car by said thieve so can the PIN which is why it won't work.

i just making your example with car alarm.
go to your android phone. setting -> security -> set up sim card lock.
this kill switch is the same thing. you set a PIN on the phone, it stores this PIN on the boot loader ! go check out galaxy s4 or galaxy note3 for att, people still unable to unlock the boot loader!

Unlock said boot loader yes, but overwriting using a computer still can be done look at my other post as to why.

What we need is a small, yet potent amount of plastique embedded into every mobile device, so that if someone steals it, it can be remotely operated to hilarious effect. Nothing else will avert phone thievery. Nothing.
