Can anyone say Hindenburg 1937?

I can... Hindenburg... See I said it...

Now, Sprint does not need to install anymore crap right now. They cant even install LTE properly, get their fiber working and laid out, or even upgrade the 3G equipment for an obsolete and dead technology, so why are they concerned with deploying fuel-cells that are not even viable for this type of use yet?

Sprint is like a meth addict...always starting a ton of projects, then getting side tracked, jimmy-rigging things when they are called out, and then giving up and starting on something new. Reminds me of their merger with Nextel and integration with PowerSource devices, reminds me of the fumble with WiMAX, reminds me of them claiming to start Network Vision only to come out later and say they...

Verizon Wireless uses natural gas for their rooftop generators. How is Sprint hoping to re-fuel their generators, whether they are diesel or fuel-cell? What if the outage lasts days or weeks, roads are inaccessable, or no fuel available, like a year ago in New York City after Hurricane Sandy?

Blah blah blah. They just announced how many new markets launched in LTE. It was just launched where I am. In fact my mom lives in a Spark area and it is amazing! I would compare it to any service out there. And its amazing how they managed to do both in two areas at the same time. But if a company cant multi task then they shouldn't be in business. Grow up, network vision is a huge undertaking that has had some setbacks but is not far behind of its preset completion date. The Nextel purchase is what is enables it current spectrum and Network Vision, and WIMAX went about as planned. It was spectrum that had to either be used or returned to the govt. LTE was not ready to be deployed at that time, so Sprint went to a system that would allow ea...

Sprint admitted that they waited too long to reavamp their network, they admitted that they let their EVDO network die out and now are trying to rebuild it with any spare parts they have. You should really read more.

YAY you have LTE, you must live in Omaha Nebraska, because for the last 16 months San Francisco has been deploying, and "testing" the network (Sprint's words not mine) and the testing has failed 95% of the time. Aside from this, I have, in writing, from Sprint, that 3G upgrades were to be complete by December 2013 in San Francisco, and 4G LTE upgrades to be complete by September 2013... when I complained in March 2013 on why they had no service 5 months after selling me a device and claiming LTE would be in my city Q1 2013. ...

In spite of all the negativity towards the third largest carrier and the push for VZW, AT&T or Tmobile, I have no complaints with Sprint and am happy to stay put. My bills are lower and I have service most everywhere I travel.

Sometimes people expect more than what they actually need which leads to a perception of inadequate service. With the new network vision build out, Sprint's service is shaping up to be very formidable. My city is currently being transitioned from 3G to 4G. The areas that have completed towers in and around the city, have provided an absolute improvement. My friends, family and colleagues that have VZW or AT&T, are very impressed with Sprint's performance. So much that my Sister, her husband and several other peopl...

Spoken and signed like a true Sprint employee...

Sprint has the 2nd highest bill price after Verizon, you do realize that right?

Network Vision in the areas of California where they claim it is live and complete, are in fact not complete, nor operating as Sprint claims. Further, they also are not performing to the hopes Sprint has for Network Vision. We are talking straight up refarmed Nextel ESMR not getting the coverage or speed as it was originally anticipated.

Then again, I actually know people who work with the networks in placement of towers, and their permitting and they all admitted that Sprint will get done last of the major carriers and will have a network not much faster than what they can currently offer today, while s...

Actually, I'm not employed within any area of the wireless industry. I am a Field Service Representative for a state wide food equipment servicing company.

Actually, Hydrogen is no more dangerous than gasoline, diesel or other fuels. In fact, it has many benefits over the other fuels.

The Hindenburg was designed when safety precautions and devices were not as stringent. Grounding devices to avoid electrical shocks were almost non-existent. This was believed to be the cause of the Hindenburg's demise. Once it touched the docking tower, static electricity caused a spark from blimp to tower that ignited the hydrogen which was not as safely contained as today. Today's safety is much more observed with all fuels.

However, I found your post comical.

There are even theories that it was the paint used on the outer shell that ignited first.

I think I remember hearing that as well. It had something to do with the aluminum based paint with the shiny gloss and the conductivity for the static electricity. But, I think that most are in agreement that the hydrogen gas was indeed an issue.

The thing about hydrogen gas is that it is extremely lighter than air and dissipates rather quickly. I read that the flames burned out in about 60 seconds.

Speaking of comical, there's your comparison of hydrogen and diesel. One is lighter than air and will spark in a moment, often from static electricity, and one is a liquid that wont ignite if you throw a match in it.

Yes hydrogen is just as safe as gas or diesel. Except when it isnt....like in the physical reality of the planet earth.

Lol. I guess my post was rather vague.

If you consider all the ingredients encircling safety in everything from health effects to combustion characteristics, Hydrogen is actually a very worthy alternative to most fuels. It all has to due with proper containment just like gasoline and propane. There is a high level of experimentation in the auto industry for hydrogen fuel cells as an alternative.

I can, Lakehurst is 10 minutes from me. Now, the way Sprint does things, you would be safer being taken prisoner by the Taliban then trusting sprint with violate gases.

The funny part is that Sprint doesn't install or have anything to do with those fuel cells. Those are installed and manufactured by other individuals who are licensed to do so.

I am happy that Sprint is seeking to lower their carbon footprint. I really appreciate a company that is interested in the well being of this planet.

Also in reference to the previous post in areas where Network Vision has been completed with LTE and Sprint Spark I have herd nothing but good things from existing customers (my friends)

I have Tmobile, I say it all the time and will keep repeating it phenomenal service near the city and non existent service outside of it period. 4G LTE when it launched was excellent now that there are more subscribers with ...
