Orlando just got lainched but little towns in Florida already had it. It just works out that way sometimes. But I will say the fully launched areas are nice. The upgrade period is rough though.

I really don't understand why they are having issues upgrading to LTE? Verizon has essentially the same path and had only a couple little issues along the way. Nothing like what Sprint is having!

My buddy who has Sprint just came back from Atlanta and he was very disappointed with their LTE service there! He barely got 6 down and 2 up! I wouldn't have believed it if I didn't see his speed check app.

Disappointed with 6 down and 2 up? Seriously? I know it's on the low side of LTE speeds but overall that is still pretty decent for phone speeds. Those speeds are more than sufficient for most phone tasks these days. What's the point of hitting 40 down when a website may only serve web pages at let's say 2 megs? Speed tests are impractical in terms of actual use on the internet.

Considering he was using AT&T and got 17 down and 9 up, I'd say that 6 and 2 was slow! It basically proves that you pay for what you get. With Sprint you may save a few bucks a month but you sacrifice network performance and reliability!

I think your missing the point. Sure speed tests are one thing but in practicality they don't mean anything. Side by side loading the same web pages on 6 or 17 or 1000 megs isn't going to matter when a website can't serve pages that fast. I'd rather have unlimited 6 megs vs limited 17 megs any day.

No I think you're missing the point. People use their devices for more than just surfing the web. Try downloading a movie with only minutes left before you board a plane. Speed does matter and I, along with a lot of other people, would pay more to have it!
Please don't try to defend Sprints LTE network when pretty much every publication has rated them by far the worst. From slow speeds to spotty coverage!

No you are for sure missing the point. Maybe I'm wrong but if I am, which you are claiming, I would love to know the site you are downloading movies at 17megs down. Please enlighten me on this amazing site you are getting your movies on your phone in a matter of seconds. YOU"RE NOT PERIOD!! And neither is your friend.

Verizon, AT&T, and T-Mobile have LTE here in El Paso. Sprint has the majority of the consumer base here but no LTE? No logic in that. ๐Ÿคจ

I see some El Paso 4G towers, they are in the midst of upgrades now. Sprint isnt having problems doing LTE...it just takes time and tuning. They are doing a 3-5 project in 18 months. Then have to do 800MHZ and spark. It takes a while to covert backhaul, zoing permits, building permits, contractors, weather. Verizon gets 2GB down in NY City...but you dont hear people complaining...talked with someone in tampa yesterday said they barely can get a AT&T signal in st pete but theiro sprint phone works great.......sprint just gets targeted because they are smaller. anything over 10MB is useless on a phone anyhow unless you are downloading a 1.2GB game. streaming works fine, most apps under 30 seconds, saying i need 25MB rather than 10MB on a phone...
