You left out some very specific information that is vital to debate. Any generation thinks that someone 10 years older is another generation. I don't care how old people think I am so I am up front to say I am 53. Percentage wise, I can guarantee that most of my generation isn't sporting iphones except for most of the women I know. Yes, a few men my age are but, most everyone 38 or younger are keeping the Apple brand motivated. Not my generation. Ironically, it is this 38 year or younger age group that also determines the direction, education, trend, business mangement etc, of what happens in circular operation of everyday, daily routine.

You are the future. You claim you are upset. Well, so are many from my generation. Apple claims removable batteries are not needed. SD cards are not needed. NFC is not needed. And so on. Why? What is the motivation here? I can tell you it is to extract more dollars from consumers. Want more memory? Pay 100$ for a new phone instead of 25 for a card.Have a problem with your battery? You have to go to a service center and pay possibly a 200 dollar deductable to replace your current phone which is refurbished instead of just buying a 30 dollar battery. Want NFC from Apple? Pay $69 rather than have an android phone with it already allocated for use.

A La Carte is great for many things. But when a company charges you top buck and it is lacking in features, where do you draw the line? My dislike for Apple comes from many years of using its products and from "My generations" discontent of watching Windows users moving ahead with what is new at a cheaper price rather than submit to carrot dangling. Apple's "Oh, it's coming. Don't worry" tactics begin to wear. I spend good money on this product. I want it now. Not when Apple says I can.
